The Traineeship: Trainees at DLA Piper complete four six month seats and progress is monitored through regular reviews and feedback. The Professional Competency Course is run partly in-house tailoring training to the needs of our trainees. This combined with on-the-job experience, provides trainees with an excellent grounding on which to build their professional careers. Trainees can express a preference for their seats and they are able to apply for a number of secondments to DLA Piper's international offices. Salaries for trainees in Scotland from September 2008 will be £23,000 for first years and £26,000 for second years.
