
The Law Society of Scotland issued a statement over the weekend claiming that the EGM called by the Glasgow Bar Association -to debate the chronic funding issues surrounding the administration of justice, "gave overwhelming backing to the Law Society".
The release pre-empts the GBA who reconvene this week.
The EGM was called by the Glasgow Bar Association to debate the future of legal aid and the criminal bar. "The GBA supported the continuing involvement of the Society’s representatives in the review, though declined to re-join the process," the Law Society relase added.
