Fife law firm Murray Donald Drummond Cook has appointed Sue Arrowsmith as an Associate after three and a half years with the company.
Arrowsmith, a former trainee at Anderson Strathern, is a private client specialist who joined the firm after a spell at Brodies. She now lives in Fife, working from the St Andrews office, after spells at the firm's Anstruther and Cupar offices.
"Sue takes a very practical, client focused approach in all of her work, to ensure that her clients achieve their aims both in the present and in the future," the firm said in a statement.
"The firm’s reputation of using modern techniques to deliver traditional high quality legal services works perfectly with Sue’s style."
Arrowsmith herself added; "I am very proud and excited to have been promoted to Associate, and look forward to the new challenges and responsibilities that it brings.”
“Many of my friends of a similar age have specialised in the corporate or commercial side of law, and regarded my focus on private client work as ‘a bit dull’. I couldn’t disagree more! I spend my days dealing with the problems and concerns that all people face during their lives, and on the death of a friend or relative, whether we wish to address them or not,"
"My work is as exciting, complex and varied as people are, and no two clients ever have the same needs or goals. I enjoy the job that I do, and love the fact that my colleagues feel the same way, which allows us to benefit from each others’ enthusiasm and take amazing pride from our work.”
