The Faculty of Advocates is mourning the sudden death of Jane G Paterson, who died at her home during the weekend.

45 year old Paterson was a member of the Ampersand stable of Advocates, and had been called to the Bar in 1991, aged only 28.

After graduating from the University of Edinburgh, Paterson devilled under The Hon. Lady Dorrian, Paul Cullen Q.C. and Andrew J. Lamb, Q.C, and was also a Member of the Institute of Taxation and Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Scotland.
