HBJ Gateley Wareing has raised the sporting sum of £74,000 after taking part in the Sportsquest 2008 charity fundraiser on behalf of the Edinburgh Headway Group, who will receive £37,000 and Children’s Aid (Scotland), who will also receive £37,000.
Participants were asked to put on their ‘sporting heads’ in ‘Question of Sport’ style challenge at the EICC, Edinburgh. Quizmaster and host for the sell-out event was Sky Sports pundit and former footballer, Alan McInally.
Edinburgh Headway Group is a local charity that provides a rehabilitation centre in the grounds of the Astley Ainslie Hospital for head injured patients and support for their families. Children’s Aid (Scotland) distributes money to deserving causes to help provide vital equipment and services to a large range of children’s charities in Scotland.
"Sportsquest is a great event, which has grown to become a key fixture in the Scottish business calendar, and we look forward with relish to next year,” said Malcolm McPherson senior partner at HBJ Gateley Wareing.
